Abstract

Optical wireless technologies have attracted increasing attention as a key enabler for future intelligent communication systems due to their abundant spectrum resources, inherent security, low electromagnetic interference, and seamless integration with lighting infrastructures. Benefiting from continuous advances in LED technologies and optoelectronic devices, the field is rapidly evolving beyond high-speed data transmission toward integrated communication, sensing, illumination, and artificial intelligence, enabling a wide range of emerging applications in smart cities, intelligent transportation, industrial automation, healthcare, the Internet of Things (IoT), and future 6G networks. This workshop aims to provide an interdisciplinary forum for researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to present recent advances, exchange innovative ideas, and discuss future research directions in optical wireless communication, integrated sensing, intelligent lighting, optoelectronic devices, and their emerging applications.
